Hey All,

Several people have mentioned having another group order for the J-
heads, so here we go! I will see if we can get two different sizes of
nozzle this time. Cost is $54 per hot end, and I will see if we can
get .25mm nozzles and .35mm nozzles.

Let me know what you would like!

Regards,
David

I'm in for some. .25 for sure, maybe a .35 too.

Does the hotend vendor have a website? Do you know which version of the j-head they'll make?

The vendor is Brian REI Snyder, dunno if he has a website. I get the Mk-IIIB's because they can be used stock with place.

Ok, I'd be in for a 0.25mm and a 0.5mm.

Holy Autocorrect Android! I meant that they can be used stock with PLA, not place. Also I have not heard back yet on the question of ordering multiple sizes. Right now I'm looking at .25mm and .35mm, I'll see if other bores can be cut, but that might disqualify the order from a bulk discount.

I think this is that guy's website: http://www.hotends.com/index.php?route= ... duct_id=70
The email address on that site is reifsnyderb@hotmail.com.

If so, I think I need one of his mounting plates too.

I don't need another hot end at the moment, but I do need another thermistor... Possible?

Brian got back to me about nozzles, so we're good for experimental .25mm nozzles and .35mm nozzles. They are MK-IV nozzles and a fan is recommended, I can dig some up at the shop.

So far Shannon and Naiiawah are in...

Who else?

Unless you really need the resolution, I wouldn't try the 0.25mm as it will be very slow printing. Sexy, but slow. I was using 0.35mm and have since gone to 0.5mm. At 0.35mm I had a 0.2mm layer height. I am now using a 0.5mm with a 0.28mm layer height and much faster prints with little loss of resolution. Just make sure you have a 0.5mm head around if you go smaller than 0.35mm. I would also use 1.75mm filament with 0.35mm or smaller.

Does he make a 0.4mm nozzle? That seems like a good compromise to me.
