Much of the scrap plastic now next to the frig at OLI is white, shiny, trademarked "Simona America Inc.". Gary thinks it came from the Micron "desirable trash" dumpster. I measured 1.43 gram/cc, which is close to Delrin(1.41), but it doesn't look or feel like Delrin. Simona makes mostly polypropylene(0.65), HDPE(0.95), and PVC(1.3~1.45)

It's sawdust feels and looks like PVC, and Weld-On 700 sticks it to itself, somewhat. I'm going with PVC, final answer. Anyone know?

I plan to experiment with solvent-welding PLA to PVC with Weld-On #4, unless somebody has already tried it. Ability to "glue" little printed parts onto free slabs of plastic would open the world of larger parts to the 3D-impatient.

I think it's PVC, also. On a side note, I've heard that PVC off gasses toxic fumes when cut or exposed to a certain temperature.

Yes it is from Micron disposed scrap. Some of it does have labels, but have not tried most of it yet. It could be a PVC.
