Hey, I'm posting this so that more people may see the link and take the survey. Please take it so that Ainsley can complete her Masters program! This is her required "recruitment letter". Thanks!

Dear Makerspace Users,

Hello. You are invited to participate in a research study entitled: How do Motivations and STEM Education Goals Affect Makerspace Attendance? in which I am trying to understand how and why people engage in the Maker movement, specifically people like you who use makerspaces. How and why people are engaged in the Maker movement is not well understood.

If you are at least 18, please follow the link to the confidential 12-15 minute survey.

Your participation in this study will greatly improve our understanding of how and why people participate and will help the field design better experiences. I am a master’s student currently working under the guidance of Dr. Lynn D. Dierking, a leading researcher in free-choice education and a Sea Grant Professor at OSU. For questions or concerns please contact Dr. Dierking or the Oregon State University Institutional Review Board (IRB) Office.

Thank you for your time!

Lynn D. Dierking: (541-737-1823)
IRB Office: (541 737-8008)

Agreed. It was quick and painless. If others haven't taken it yet, please do so.

Thanks for the replies so far! Thought I'd remind everyone that may read this that it is still an open survey and that she would love to get more responses.
